Here’s one of the new shapes I’m working on for my “birdfeed bag” bags…it’s still rounded on the bottom, but a bit shorter. This one’s literally a “hand-bag”, but I’ll be trying out more styles with longer handles, too. Because personally, I like to cart around my stuff using my shoulder so my hands will be free. I save myself the trouble of cleaning up a lot of spilled tea and coffee that way!
I’ve also got some dogfood bags with nice images on them, so I suppose I’ll also be making “dogfood bag” bags in the coming weeks! To see some of the other styles that I make out of plastic grocery bags, visit the post here.
Love them! Please come see Heather and I in Midway next weekend.
Miss ya!
These are great! Fun and great recycling. I’m running a trash fashion course with some young people next term (Gloucestershire, England), can I show them these pictures?
I’ve enjoyed looking at your Blog.
Thanks so much!
Of course, Lizzie, you may show your students anything on this website 🙂
I’ll also be adding more images to my gallery soon (hopefully some accessories and smaller things that I’ve been working on).
Hi Jamie. I read on etsy that you said these bags were plastic. Did I read that correctly? I have not seen bags that were made of plastic. Just curious about that and their durability. Thanks.
Yes, these are plastic. I line them with fabric, and they are indeed very durable. I’m working on some new shapes today, too!
